LinkedIn Insight Tag not recording conversions

The Insight Tag is on every page, but Campaign Manager shows zero conversions. Almost always the base tag is fine and the problem is how the conversion itself is defined, because LinkedIn tracks conversions differently from Google and Meta.

How LinkedIn conversions actually work

LinkedIn does not need a separate event snippet on your thank-you page the way others do. You create a conversion in Campaign Manager and tell it to count either a visit to a specific URL or a dedicated event. If you built your conversion around a thank-you URL that your funnel never actually lands on, it will never fire.

How to verify and fix

Use the LinkedIn Insight Tag browser helper to confirm the tag fires on the confirmation page, then check the conversion rule matches that exact URL. For actions with no unique URL, switch to an event-specific conversion fired from Google Tag Manager off a clean data layer. And remember attribution is ad-driven: test with a real ad click, not a direct visit.
