How to set up GA4 on Webflow
Webflow does not have a one-click GA4 integration, so you install it yourself. The good news is Webflow makes it straightforward through its custom-code settings, and doing it via Google Tag Manager keeps everything flexible.
The clean way: via GTM
- Add your Google Tag Manager container snippet in Webflow's Project Settings, Custom Code (head and body).
- Publish, then fire GA4 from inside GTM rather than pasting GA4 directly, so you can add events without touching Webflow again.
Tracking Webflow forms and interactions
Webflow form submissions usually show a success state rather than loading a thank-you page, so track the submission as an event in GTM, not a pageview. The same applies to interactions and any single-page-style navigation, which behaves like a single-page app in places.
Consent and verification
- Add a CMP and Consent Mode so GA4 is gated, since Webflow has no built-in consent tool.
- Verify events in DebugView and mark real conversions as key events.
